Jane Davidson
opens the St Dogmaels Stretch
of the coast path

21st February 2011

On Monday 21st February 2011 a small section of the All Wales Coast Path was opened.  At only 3Km, this short stretch of path might have seemed insignificant.   Its value however, was that it linked the Pembrokeshire Coast Path to the Ceredigion Path.   This created a continuous coastal path of 250 miles.   The full length of the All Wales Coast path will be 850 total miles so this was an important missing link.    Jane Davidson retires from office at the next election in May so she was keen to get the coast path on track to open in 2012.

Zetta and Andrew of Swansea Ramblers were at the opening event as representatives of Ramblers Cymru.   Lady Helen Lloyd Jones, Ramblers Cymru Chair joined us, as did a number of Ramblers from local groups.
