Bob and Joan Cunningham were founder members of West Glamorgan Ramblers.
Bob was the first Footpaths Officer, which is why a new stile was erected in his memory near Llanrhidian.
Alan Mattingley came down from Head Office for the dedication ceremony, and lots of Ramblers were present for the occasion.
Joan was Secretary from 1983-5.
She made great and long-lasting friendships through her involvement with the Ramblers.
Joan and her friends still walked together regularly even though there came a time when they could no longer keep up with the rest of the members.
Joan's funeral was held in Suffolk where she had lived for the last 3 years when her health deteriorated further.
The Memorial Ceremony was held so that her Swansea friends could share memories of her together.
She was a much-loved friend to so many.
