Swansea Ramblers

Swansea Canal and Clydach

A 5-mile evening walk

2nd September 2026

Leader: Lucy Davies

Swansea Ramblers met at the Clydach Cricket Club for a short evening walk.

It was a bit wet that night so only a few brave Ramblers turned up for the walk!

We walked along an old railway line that was built before WW1 but never used.

In Trebanos, we joined the Swansea Canal Towpath to begin the return to Clydach.

We left the canal to head upstream to the Forge where there is a water cascade.

Crossing the Forge bridge over the River Clydach, we made our way back to the Cricket Club for refreshments.

A great evening walk with Swansea Ramblers.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
