Swansea Ramblers
Southgate
A 2.5 mile Saturday walk
21
st
February 2026
Leader: Andrew Morgan
Swansea Ramblers met on a damp, misty day to walk around Pennard.
The intention was to do a 6-mile walk but the weather turned bad at lunchtime so we settled for the 2.5 miles we had already done.
We had walked across Pennard Burrows and past the water tower to the castle.
It was too damp and cold to stop so we continued to the view point over Three Cliffs.
We then headed inland on the edge of the golf course and past the club house.
We stopped at the cars for lunch but a heavy shower of rain heralded the forcast 95% chance of rain so we decided not to carry on and get wet!
Some of us went to the Southgate Club afterwards for refreshments.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
