Swansea Ramblers braved the forecast of a wet, rainy day to enjoy a dry walk, albeit with quite a bit of mud!
We set off from the bird reserve and ascended the road to Mynydd Gelliwastad.
It was misty at the top but from the Trig Point the mist cleared for us to see some views.
Our route circled around to the village of Craig-cefn-parc then descended to the river.
The walk then headed north on the Cwm Clydach trail to Pont Llechart.
There were a lot of trees down in the storm and there were signs warning that they would be cutting down trees next week.
We followed the hillside path and road through Cathelyd back to the start.
Afterwards, we all then went into The New inn for refreshments.
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
