Swansea Ramblers

Southgate, Three Cliffs and a Castle

A 4-mile Taste of Gower Walk

30th January 2025

Leader: Lynne Esson

Swansea Ramblers had another short, mid-week walk in Gower.

The sun shone all day for us and the early cold air warmed up (a bit!) in the sunshine.

We walked along the edge of the golf course to Pennard Castle where we had a 15 minute stop for a flask of coffee.

Our lunch stop was further along the coast path with a closer view of Three Cliffs Bay

We then followed the coast path around the edge of the golf course and made our way to the top of the valley.

Crossing over onto West Cliff, we had fine views across the Bristol Channel.

We returned to the start then some of us had Coffee in Three Cliffs Coffee Shop.

A lovely, sunny, winter's walk with Swansea Ramblers.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
