Swansea Ramblers

Clyne Country Park

A 6-mile (3-hours) Saturday walk

11th January 2025

Leaders: Mike and Joanna Craddock

Swansea Ramblers met in Dunvant for a walk along the Active Travel Path into Clyne Country Park.

Once there, we left behind the Tarmacadam path and followed the muddy riverside path.

Passing through the tunnel beneath the old railway line, we stopped for a Tea-break on the old tramline then joined the old main road (now a quiet Beech-lined path) towards Olchfa.

We stopped at Ynys Newydd for our lunch before rejoining the Active Travel Path to the Railway Inn.

After refreshments and having thawed out in the warmth of the real fire in the pub, we once more set off, rejoining the Active Travel Path for the last mile back to the start.

Yet another great walk with Swansea Ramblers and we had another new member who signed up after enjoying the walk with us.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
