Swansea Ramblers

Llanrhidian and Weobley

A 4-mile Thursday Walk followed by Lamb Cawl

31st October 2024

Leader: Peter Jones

Swansea Ramblers had a weekday walk from The Dolphin Inn at Llanrhidian.

We ascended to the top path above the village and headed west past a herd of Alpacas to the Hamlet of Leason.

Stopping for lunch at Weobley, some of us took the opportunity to visit the castle.

Our return route followed the coast path eastward back to Llanrhidian.

The previous week there was a large tree down on the path but an email to Swansea Council's Countryside Access Department resulted in the tree being removed two days later.

Thank you Kevin and the rest of the team in Countryside Access for making the path useable in time for the walk.

Once back at The Dolphin, we had delicious Lamb Cawl cooked for us by Babs, the Landlady.

We'll be looking forward to our next visit there!

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
- Come with Swansea Ramblers!

If you'd like to try a Swansea walk then do come along and find out what the great outdoors is all about.

It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.
