Swansea Ramblers

Parkmill and Three Cliffs

A 6-mile Saturday walk

26th October 2024

Leader: Andrew Morgan

Swansea Ramblers met at the Heritage Centre in Parkmill to begin a walk on a lovely warm sunny autumn day.    There were forty of us out today.

We ascended to Green Cwm where we saw the burial chamber then continued on forestry tracks to reach the base of Cefn Bryn.

We stopped for Tea in the picnic site overlooking Three Cliffs Bay then made our way to Penmaen Burrows.

Joining the Coast Path, we made our way along the Gower Coast, enjoying great scenery and dodging hundreds of runners out on an event of their own.

We stopped to have our lunch at Penmaen Castle from where we could see Three Cliffs Bay and Pennard Castle.

Descending to the bay via the coast path, we went past the stepping stones to follow the river inland to Shepherds and into the Heritage Centre. After that, we drove over to the Gower Inn to enjoy refreshments in the Beer Garden.

Another memorable day out with Swansea Ramblers.

Why not come along and enjoy it with us?

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
