Swansea Ramblers

Mynydd Lluast

A 4-mile midweek walk above Craig Cefn Parc near Clydach

29th August 2024

Leader: Mike Clarke

Swansea Ramblers had a short Thursday walk from Craig-cefn-parc that gradually ascended onto Mynydd Lluast via an old Drovers' Road.

We had two tea stops, one below the top then another at the Trig Point.

It was too wet and muddy underfoot to circle around 'Death Ray' Matthews' House so we doubled back and dropped down on another path. Disturbing a Red Kite busy devouring the carcass of a dead sheep, we continued downhill then had our lunch before the descent to the road.

When we got back, we went into the New Inn Pub where some of us enjoyed a meal in the Beer Garden.

Another great day out with Swansea Ramblers.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?

So we descended the eastern side and admired the panorama
