Swansea Ramblers

Oxwich

A 7-mile Saturday Walk

24th August 2024

Leader: Roger Brown

Swansea Ramblers went to Oxwich for a walk over the Bank Holiday weekend.   On the way there we had heavy rain but that stopped in Oxwich and the day remained sunny.

We walked out to Oxwich Point and along the cliff top path to Slade.   We returned via the Coast Path where we had lunch then ascended to the castle.

After the walk we enjoyed refreshments in the garden of the Oxwich Bay Hotel.   Another fine day out walking.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
- Come with Swansea Ramblers!

If you'd like to try a Swansea walk then do come along and find out what the great outdoors is all about.

It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.

If you enjoy walking with us and want to come on even more of our walks, just become a member.

When you join us for a Swansea Walk, ask us about the other walks and social events we do.

The woodland path is easier than the steps!

But we had to go around a fallen tree

Soon we were nearly at the top

Eventually, we descended to the coast path via an overgrown path

The coast path is being eroded by the sea

So we enjoyed it while we can!
