Swansea Ramblers

Oxwich

A 6-mile Saturday walk
along the beach and through woodland

25th May 2024

Leader: Dave Stephens

Swansea Ramblers met in Oxwich on a sunny Bank Holiday weekend.   We walked eastward along the beach to Great Tor where we had our lunch.

The return journey began with a climb to reach the Wales Coast Path which we followed through Crawley then Nicholaston Woods.    We walked through the dunes of Oxwich National Nature Reserve which brought us back to the start.

We then walked over to The Oxwich Bay Hotel and sat outside, enjoying refreshments in the sunshine.

Another great walk with Swansea Ramblers.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
