Swansea Ramblers

Port Eynon

A 3-mile (2-hour) walk in the sunshine

15th May 2024

Leader: Lisa Skyrme

Swansea Ramblers had a Wednesday walk in sunshine at Port Eynon.   We walked over to the ruins of the old Salt House them up onto the point where we read the memorial to the founders of the Gower Society.

We had our break on the grass above Overton Mere then followed the coast path west.   There was some serious erosion of the path which we avoided then headed inland and turned east to Overton.   Passing through the village, we descended to the caravan park and back to the start.

The walk over, we had chips then ice cream in the sunshine to finish the day.

Another great walk with Swansea Ramblers.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
