Swansea Ramblers

Weobley Castle

A 7-mile Thursday walk

9th May 2024

Leader: Peter Jones

Swansea Ramblers walked from the Purple Badger in Llanrhidian to Weobley Castle.   We had a fine sunny day to enjoy the views.

We ascended to Cil Ifor where we had great views over the area then passing through Llanrhidian, we made our way to Leason.   Passing Alpacas and Goats, we made our way through a field of Sheep with Lambs to Weobley Castle.   Here we bought Tea and Coffee then ate our lunch in the sunshine.

Our return was partly on the coast path and to avoid the mud, we ascended back to Leason.   The last part of the walk was along the Marsh Road.

At the Purple Badger, we sat outside in the sunshine, enjoying refreshments.   A lovely summer's day out with Swansea Ramblers.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
