Swansea Ramblers Walk

Swansea Canal

via Pontardawe, Trebanos and Clydach

A 4-mile Thursday walk

14th December 2023

Leader: Mike Clarke

Swansea Ramblers had a short walk along the Swansea Canal.   We Started in Trebanos and headed north to where the canal disappears under the playing fields.   Circling around to follow the river, we rejoined the canal back to Trebanos.

At this half-way point, we had an optional walk south which took us to Coedgwilym Park where we stopped at the new Pavilion Cafe.   Some of us tucked into delicious bowls of Lamb Cawl and had coffee before making the short return journey to Trebanos.   The weather was dry for the entire walk and our return journey was bathed in warm sunshine.

Another lovely day out with Swansea Ramblers.   Why not come along on our next one?

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
