Swansea Ramblers Walk

Promenade and Marina
A gentle 2-mile Friday walk followed by coffee

1st December 2023

Leader: Chris Roberts & Ruth Stephens

Swansea Ramblers had another short walk that was suitable for some of our members who for one reason or another couldn't take part on a longer walk.   That didn't mean other members couldn't come along too, so altogether, 13 of us set off for a lovely walk in the winter sunshine.

We followed the promenade eastward to Trafalgar Bridge where our progress was delayed by the opening of the lock gate.   Reaching the Prince of Wales Dock, we began the return journey.   We crossed over the Tawe on the Sail bridge and passed the Maritime Museum on our way back to the Civic Centre.

We then enjoyed a coffee and a chat in the Coastline Cafe in the Civic Centre.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
- Come with Swansea Ramblers!

If you'd like to try a Swansea walk then do come along and find out what the great outdoors is all about.

It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.

If you enjoy walking with us and want to come on even more of our walks, just become a member.

When you join us for a Swansea Walk, ask us about the other walks and social events we do.

Just in case we didn't know where we were,
a sign told us we were at the Tawe Barrage!
