Swansea Ramblers Walk

Pwll to Burry Port

A 5-mile Thursday Evening Walk

For a sunset and a Blue Moon

31st August 2023

Leader: Jane Fisher

Swansea Ramblers travelled to Pwll for a walk that would see the sunset and the rising of a Blue Moon.   We walked through the nature reserve formed from the Ash pits of the old power station.   The tide was full in and the dogs enjoyed the water.

Once in sight of Burry Port, the sun was setting to a golden glow so we began the return journey.   The weather had been mixed today and now the clouds obscured the Blue Moon so we didn't get to see the moonrise.

We consoled ourselves in The Coliliers Arms sitting outside with refreshments and didn't worry about the absent moon!

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
- Come with Swansea Ramblers!

If you'd like to try a Swansea walk then do come along and find out what the great outdoors is all about.

It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.
