Swansea Ramblers Walk

Penclawdd

A 3-mile Bank Holiday Evening Walk

28th August 2023

Leader: Peter Jones

Swansea Ramblers is not not just about walking.   We like to have fun too.   We arrange meals out and coach trips but today we went out for a walk with added extras - Fish and Chips plus GGs Ice-cream!

The food was optional so anybody on a diet could just turn up for the start of the walk and enjoy an evening stroll with Peter.   Altogether, 25 people came along with some opting for Fish and Chips, some for Ice-cream and others for both!!

We set off from outside GGs Gelateria and headed east on the Multi-User Path.   After about a mile, we reached The Rake and Riddle then resisted the temptation to pop in!   We ascended the lane behind the pub which eventually took us onto farmland with a view of the estuary.   Descending back to the Multi-User Path, we then returned to Penclawdd where some of us went to The Estuary Bar for a social and refreshments.

Another lovely evening walk with Swansea Ramblers and two new walkers found out how good it is to walk with us.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
