Swansea Ramblers braved the forecast of showers to walk from Pennard Cliffs.
We were rewarded with sunshine on what turned into a lovely afternoon.
The walk headed north to join Sandy Lane and descended to Parkmill.
We followed the wooded path west then ascended to the golf course and the wonderful view down the valley to Three Cliffs Bay.
Following a coffee break at the castle, we continued along the coast path to the cliffs overlooking the iconic peaks of the Bay.
We had our lunch break on Pobbles Beach where the sand threatened to get into our food and our eyes!
A couple of Belgian women then showed us up by swimming in the cold sea!
Rather them than us!
We returned along West Cliff where a lady, originally from Spain, took our group photo.
Her father said the Gower scenery was remarkably similar to his home in northern Spain.
After the walk, many of us made our way to Kittle and had refreshments in The Beaufort Arms (who are always happy to see Ramblers).
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
