Swansea Ramblers Walk

Bynea

A 4-mile Evening Walk

1st June 2023

Leader: Andrew Morgan

Swansea Ramblers crossed the Loughor Bridge to walk part of the Millennium Coast Path and the nature reserve of Berwic.   We began by crossing the Millennium Bridge over the bypass then followed the coast to the caravan park.   Here we turned inland though the many campers here for the Bank Holiday.   We then walked across the bypass at the 'Sospan' Roundabout.

We then entered Berwic Nature Reserve where we saw lots of Orchids and Flag Iris.   We made our way through countryside to Bynea and walked back along the old road.

Afterwards, some of us went back to the Gateway Resort Caravan Club where we sat outside in the evening sunshine and enjoyed refreshments.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
- Come with Swansea Ramblers!

If you'd like to try a Swansea walk then do come along and find out what the great outdoors is all about.

It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.
