Swansea Ramblers had a short walk from Pontardawe which went along the canal then followed part of St. Illtud's Walk to ascend into the woodland above the town.
We stopped for a tea break in the sunshine of a meadow above Rhyd-y Fro where Orchids were in flower.
We then decended into Cwm-du and followed the Clydach River back to Pontardawe.
Afterwards, we went to The Pontardawe Inn for well-earned refreshments in the hot sunshine.
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
