Swansea Ramblers had another of their midweek walks which today began near Margam Park and ascended to the hillside above the country park.
We visited an old enclosed spring used by monks to bathe then made our way to the ruined chapel on the hill.
We continued the woodland ascent through Bluebells to the cliff top path from where we had wonderful sunny views across the plain. Along this path the Bluebells looked lovely.
We had a tea stop at the WWII radar station then retraced our way back to the chapel and took another path down to the lake.
From there we ascended to the hill fort where we sat in the sun to have lunch before the return to the start.
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
