Swansea Ramblers Walk

West of Gowerton

A 4-mile Monday Walk

27th March 2023

Leader: Peter Jones

Swansea Ramblers had a walk in the sunshine.   One of the few days this month when it hasn't rained!   We set off westward along the pavement of the B4295 then joined the multi-user path until we were almost in Penclawdd.   We crossed the road and joined a footpath that has been diverted onto higher ground and which gave us a view back over the estuary.   A Heron flew off as we approached.

There were some spring flowers and the sun made us forget that more rain was forecast from tomorrow!   We joined the coast path over the hills above the main road where again the views opened up over the estuary.   The coast path then continued in fields, lanes and woodland until we arrived back at Gowerton.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
- Come with Swansea Ramblers!

If you'd like to try a Swansea walk then do come along and find out what the great outdoors is all about.

It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.

If you enjoy walking with us and want to come on even more of our walks, just become a member.

When you join us for a Swansea Walk, ask us about the other walks and social events we do.
