Swansea Ramblers met at White Rock for a walk that would follow the Tawe to the sea and back.
36 of us started off on a 3-hour walk during which Chris told us about some of the history of the Swansea Valley.
The weather stayed dry and we even saw a beautiful rainbow.
During the last five minutes we experienced a really heavy shower of rain but by then people had really enjoyed the day, especially the eight new walkers who came along to see what walking with a social group was like.
We'll be looking forward to our next walk as we always have a walk on Saturday to enjoy.
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?

It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.
