Swansea Ramblers Walk

Bracelet to Caswell

A 6.5-mile Boxing Day Walk

To walk off the Christmas Calories

26th December 2022

Leader: Andrew Morgan

Each year, Swansea Ramblers have a Boxing Day walk for a seasonal get-together after Christmas.   There were two options from which participants could choose.   The full walk started in Bracelet and we walked for about an hour along the top coast path to Langland.

Some of our members who for one reason or another could not do the full walk then had the opportunity to join us at Langland and just do the middle bit of the walk from Langland to Caswell and back.

While we waited for others to meet us there, we had a coffee break at Langland.   At that point we had our only shower of rain but it didn't last long.

We then followed the coast to Caswell where we stopped to eat our packed lunch.   The return journey began by a walk inland through the Bishop's Wood Nature Reserve where we ascended the hillside for views back over Caswell.   We then crossed Langland Golf Course to return to the coast path and to say goodbye to those who had joined us there.   Our return to Bracelet was along the lower coast path.   Some of us then went for refreshments at a local hostelry.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
- Come with Swansea Ramblers!

If you'd like to try a Swansea walk then do come along and find out what the great outdoors is all about.

It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.

If you enjoy walking with us and want to come on even more of our walks, just become a member.

When you join us for a Swansea Walk, ask us about the other walks and social events we do.
