Swansea Ramblers have a work party that goes out regularly to maintain the paths and path furniture that allow everybody to enjoy the countryside.
Working with The City and County of Swansea, we go out and repair bridges, gates, stiles and clear undergrowth so the public can enjoy the countryside around us.
Ramblers Work Party braved the very cold conditions to work with Countryside Access Team and re-cladded this footbridge in Bishopston Valley.
The decking on the bridge had rotted and become dangerous.
The decking was removed and replaced.
The bridge only ‘out of action’ for a few hours.
Handrails and posts will be replaced over the next couple of days.
