Swansea Ramblers Walk

Mumbles Way

A 6-mile section of the route

20th August 2022

Leader: Chris Rees

Swansea Ramblers set off in Clyne Gardens to follow part of the trail known as The Mumbles Way.   We had sunny weather to enjoy the walk and the company.   The trail brought us down to the Promenade at West Cross.   At Norton, we went inland, following the route which took us past Oystermouth Castle and through the cemetery.

We saw the stone that commemorates where used to live Sir Arthur Brown (of aviation's Alcock and Brown fame).   Returning to the promenade at Mumbles, we began our return journey along the seafront.

Another great walk with Swansea Ramblers

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
