Swansea Ramblers visited the Brecon Beacons Mountain Centre near Libanus. The weather was about the best you could have asked for and the visibility was ideal to see the mountain ranges.
We walked to Allt Lom and had a tea break on the high ground from where we admired the scenery. We then made our way across Mynydd Illtud to Twyn y Gaer. This was our lunch stop and here we could look down on the surrounding countryside.
We began our return by walking towards Pen y Fan and on the way, some Red Kites circled around looking for food. Back at the Mountain Centre we sat outside, enjoying cold drinks and ice-cream before driving back to Swansea. it was a lovely day out in pleasant company.
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
