Following the morning walk (see other gallery photos), some of the morning walkers decided to spend the afternoon relaxing in the town and to do some shopping. Some more Ramblers drove up for the afternoon walk, so altogether, we had 22 people walking the afternoon section.
We crossed the River Towy on the old pedestrian suspension bridge which wobbled as we walked across. We traversed a peaceful meadow and wondered what it will look like if and when the long-awaited Llandeilo Bypass is constructed.
Many of the group had never been to The Woodland Trust property at Coed Tregib, so they were in for a treat when we passed by the rewilding of the fields into new woodland before entering the ancient Bluebell Woods.
Here we saw Bluebells, possibly millions of them which formed a rich blue carpet everywhere we looked. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed their first visit but certainly not their last!
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
