Myra led a group of 36 walkers for on our annual visit to the Bluebell display in Castle Wood. This is a wood managed by The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales, on the edge of the National Trust estate at Dinefwr.
In fine sunny weather, we ascended above the town to Penlan Park and had a tea stop by the bandstand. From there, we had magnificent views of the surrounding countryside.
The views continued as we made our way in ancient woodland to the main area of Bluebells which presented us with a carpet of blue. We then had lunch below the ancient castle with even more views before returning to Llandeilo via the abandoned Church.
The walk was split into two halves, so when we got back to the town, some had the option to go shopping and explore the town while 22 of us set off for an afternoon walk. A few decided to join us for just the afternoon walk so drove up to meet us when we came back from the morning walk.
