Swansea Ramblers Walk

Clyne Country Park
Peter's Birthday / New Year's Day Walk

1st January 2022

Leader: Peter Jones

Peter's birthday is on New Year's Day so he led 34 of us on another of his birthday walks to celebrate.  We started by walking through Clyne Gardens then went into the Country Park to see the new, controversial multi-user path.  All went well until we got to the 'new' mill leat where the flood water would have meant wet feet if we had tried to continue!  We diverted along a muddy path to reach the tea stop.

We then followed what was once the main road to and from Gower but is now a quiet beech tree lined avenue.  We made our way up onto the western side of the valley and had lunch overlooking the bay.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
- Come with Swansea Ramblers!

If you'd like to try a Swansea walk then do come along and find out what the great outdoors is all about.

It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.

If you enjoy walking with us and want to come on even more of our walks, just become a member.

When you join us for a Swansea Walk, ask us about the other walks and social events we do.
