We once more visited the scenic beauty of Drygarn. We drove along a single track road through the very beautiful Irfon Valley to reach the start. We then walked through forestry to the moorland. The sun was out and we had clear visibilty for miles around so could see Pen y Fan in the far distance.
We walked the ridge between the two ancient cairns then retraced our way back to the forestry. The autumn colours were more advanced than in Swansea. We had a lovely walk of about 8 miles and well worth the journey to see it.
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
