Visiting Clyne Chapel
Swansea Vale Centre asked us to lead a walk for the visually Impaired
Clyne Gardens is in bloom
Lovely display of Rhododendrons and Azaleas
Water feature in the Gardens
Sue has recently had a new guide dog called Walker
The Rhododendron used to be below the tower but now they dwarf it
Who's coming up next?
Lots to experience in Clyne gardens
A few of us went up
Still warm and sunny
Judith from the Swansea Vale Centre was keen for us to help out with a walk
We were lucky with the weather
Plenty of flowers to see
Walking by the stream
A few bridges to cross
The Gunnera is growing in the boggy area
Very sharp thorns
The leaves make a good parasol !
Everyone is enjoying the walk
Some of the flowers are out early
Gentle uphill path
Sue and her mother
Spring is the best time to see Clyne Gardens
Plenty of colourful flowers
Following the stream towards the pond
Lots of varieties of Rhododendron
Chris and his guide dog Gail
Carefully climbing the Japanese steps to the summer house
Quite a steep climb
Sue arrives at the summer house
A mallard on the pond is unconcerned at our arrival
Viv leads the way to the Bluebells
Still very sunny
Lots of Bluebells
Alex from Swansea Ramblers came along to help
Lots more Bluebells
... and albino Bluebells
More variety of colours earlier in the season
Enjoy them while you can because they don't last long
No more climbing. Downhill all the way
Another summer house
Downhill now
... but still plenty of colour
A bit early yet for some of the flowers
... but not for these !
Clyne Castle is now private flats
Gail met a Golden Doodle on the way
Some people never grow up !
A carved face in the trunk of a dead tree
Chris wanted to touch the carving
She was so intent on feeding in the tree that she wasn't frightened of us
