Walk Description

The walk starts in Port Eynon and heads west to Horton then ascends inland for views over the bay from the high ground.

Head east, go past the seafront cafes and along a boardwalk. Follow the coast path signs through the dunes, passing Horton car park and the RNLI building. Join the seafront road and follow to its end. There turn left through a gate and go uphill on a woodland path beside the cliff face.

At the top turn left through the gate to go over a stone stile. Follow the right hand hedge then bear diagonally right to a gate into a muddy lane. Turn left along the lane and exit onto the road. Turn left and go straight on at the junction. As the road bends left, go uphill and bear left through the caravan park to emerge onto the cliff top road with views over the bay.

Ignore the beach path and take the next green path descending diagonally left. Just as this bends left, turn right over a stile then immediately right over another stile. Follow the edge of a field to a third stile. Enter a field and follow the left hedge to a gate. Go across the next field to the gate onto the A4118.

Turn right uphill and go left over a stile by the gate. Cross the field to a stile in the right hand corner by a gate. Go over another stile and bear left downhill to a third stile. Turn right and descend on the opposite side of the barbed wire fence to a stile by the houses. Turn right on the road for a couple of hundred yards, watching left for the stile into the field. Descend to the caravan park and turn left to the road and back to the car park.
