Swansea Ramblers Walk

Walk Description



Cross the busy B4312 to a wooden entrance and follow to a junction (see web).
Turn left uphill then right to the B4312. Cross and follow path to the seats.
Descend the meadow and just before the path turns left into the wood, turn right onto the B4312.
Turn left and go through a kissing gate. The path goes uphill along the edge of the muddy field.
Turn right on Smyrna Road then left along a track.
Continue straight along a green track and go through the gate.
Turn right along the edge of two fields and take the right gate to Dolaumeinion Farm.
Continue straight on, turning right when the metalled track turns left.
See the standing stones then turn right along the field edge to a gate.
Go through and join a narrow green lane to a tall farm house.
Turn left uphill to the B4312 and turn left.
Cross the B4312 into a green lane by a house and follow to a road junction.
Turn left to Llangain. Before the pub turn right and cross the stile at the end of a cul-de-sac.
Continue straight along the field edge onto the road. Turn right then left to pass the church.
Turn left down another lane.
After a few yards at a junction go straight through a gate (or over if locked) and head diagonally across the field to the far wooded corner.
(Alternatively, continue along the lane then turn left onto a signed footpath in the same field and head straight for the field corner)
Cross a hidden tall stile into the next field and turn right to Old Castle Farm.
Turn left and follow the track to the B4312. Turn right to the start.
