Walk Your Way in Winter Clyne: Peter checks the route of the New Year's Day walk
3rd November 2021
Leader: Peter Jones
Walk Your Way in Winter. Embrace the season in good company. Walking boots or wellies, bobble hat or umbrella – wrap up warm and let's get exploring.
Whether you're a nature wanderer, adventurous hiker, or weekend walk and talker, there’s no one way to ramble.
#WalkYourWay
This is a walk on which everybody is welcome and if you are making a New Year Resolution to start walking, come along and find out why so many people enjoy walking with Swansea Ramblers.
Peter's birthday is on New Year's Day so he'll lead us on a walk in Clyne to celebrate and to make sure we start 2022 the right way - by taking a walk in the country!
Peter has checked the route of the walk in Clyne Country Park to make sure all will be well on the day. On the way, we'll try out the new Active Travel Path and enjoy the country park in winter. The walk will start from the top of Clyne Gardens, descending almost to Mumbles Road. We'll enter Clyne Country Park to pick up the Active Travel Path. Heading north, Peter will then join the long avenue of Beech trees before following the tramway to the main spine path through Clyne. Peter will ascend to the other side of the valley, passing Keeper's Cottage then follow the carriageway to the top of Mill Lane before returning to the start
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
- Come with Swansea Ramblers!
If you'd like to try a Swansea walk then do come along and find out what the great outdoors is all about.
It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.
If you enjoy walking with us and want to come on even more of our walks, just become a member.
When you join us for a Swansea Walk, ask us about the other walks and social events we do.
