Swansea Ramblers Walk

Pitton Cross to Old Henllys

14th June 2021

Leader: Roger Button

Roger led us on a walk in fine sunny weather.  We started from the caravan park and headed north over the access land where we saw Orchids.  We made our way to Old Henllys then turned west on the Gower Way to Kingshall.  Here we turned south for the return journey.

On the way we saw wildflowers which Roger told us about then negotiated some dodgy stiles.  This area is very lovely with views of Hardings Down and Rhosili Down.  It was a wonderful day out which we hope Roger will repeat for us again.  A great walk of 4 miles.

Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.

Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.

Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
- Come with Swansea Ramblers!

If you'd like to try a Swansea walk then do come along and find out what the great outdoors is all about.

It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.
You'll be very welcome to join us for three free walks.

The cows were very curious to see these Ramblers

So we had to carefully pass through the gate and not let any out
