Swansea Ramblers Walk
Cwm Clydach, Mountains and a Lighthouse!
18th October 2020
Leader: John France
John led a walk from the nature reserve up onto the mountains where we visited one of the largest stone circles in Wales and even saw a lighthouse!
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities from the long strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker to the short, easy lowland walks where maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people. If you'd like to try a walk then do come along and find out what all this Swansea Walking in the great outdoors is all about.
It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you. If you get the bug and want to walk or stroll regularly then you can also become a member. Just ask us about the walks and social events we do when you join us for a Swansea Walk.

Passing over Craig yr Allt
Great views from here
In the distance is Gellionnen Chapel
Horses were curious
Found a friend
Who didn't want us to go
The historic Gellionnen Chapel
Heading for the filled in open cast mine
The stone marks where the mne used to be
The stone circle of Carn Llechart
And in the middle of the countryside, we find a lighthouse!
Are we being followed?
A lone rider watches over us
Descendng back into the valley
A mass of fungi at the base of a tree
