Swansea Ramblers Big Welsh Walk Festival began with a stroll from Swansea Civic Centre on the coast and went through the Marina before climbing onto Kilvey.
New Rights of Way created by the council's Countryside Access Department mean legal recognition and protection has been given to some of the paths which the public have walked for centuries.
Richard took us along a few of these newly registered paths and we were able to enjoy fine views over Swansea Bay on a fine mountainside in the centre of Swansea.
Swansea Ramblers offer a range of walks for most abilities.
Try an easy walk of 2-3 hours or our longer strenuous mountain walks for the experienced walker.
Maybe you'd like to explore walking for the first time with a friendly group of people?
