Swansea Ramblers Walk

The Big Welsh Walk
Kilvey Hill on new Rights of Way

4th May 2013

Leader: Richard Beale

Swansea Ramblers Big Welsh Walk Festival began with a stroll from Swansea Civic Centre on the coast and went through the Marina before climbing onto Kilvey.  New Rights of Way created by the council's Countryside Access Department mean legal recognition and protection has been given to some of the paths which the public have walked for centuries.  Richard took us along a few of these newly registered paths and we were able to enjoy fine views over Swansea Bay on a fine mountainside in the centre of Swansea.  If you'd like to try a walk then do come along and find out what all this Swansea Walking in the great outdoors is all about.  It won't cost you anything to come along and see if walking is for you.  If you get the bug and want to walk or stroll regularly then you can also become a member.  Just ask us about the walks we do when you join us for a Swansea Walk.
